About methotrexate
Methotrexate (Rheumatrex) is a moderately priced chemotherapy drug used to treat cancer including breast cancer, leukemia, and lymphoma. It can also be used to treat psoriasis and certain kinds of arthritis. It is more popular than comparable drugs. It is only available as a generic drug; all brands have been discontinued. Generic methotrexate is covered by most Medicare and insurance plans, but some pharmacy coupons or cash prices may be lower.
