Solu-Cortef

Solu-cortef (hydrocortisone sodium succinate) is a corticosteroid used to treat arthritis, endocrine disorders, lupus, allergies and asthma, and other conditions. It works by decreasing inflammation in different parts of the body such as around tumors or nerve endings to relieve pain. The injection is used when oral hydrocortisone can't be taken. Solu-Cortef has a generic alternative available, A-Hydrocort.
