About Nucala

Nucala (mepolizumab) is used in combination with other treatments to help treat severe asthma. It is also used for the treatment of hypereosinophilic syndrome, rhinosinusitis with nasal polyps, and a rare form of vasculitis. Nucala is an Interleukin Antagonist, which works by reducing inflammation in the lungs. The most common form of Nucala is a 100mg/ml autoinjector. It is also available as a 100mg/ml syringe, 40mg/0.4ml syringe, and 100mg vial. There are currently no generic alternatives for Nucala. It may be covered by some Medicare and insurance plans.
