Nucala (mepolizumab) is used in combination with other treatments to help treat severe
asthma. It is also used for the treatment of hypereosinophilic syndrome, rhinosinusitis with
nasal polyps, and a rare form of vasculitis. Nucala is an
Interleukin Antagonist, which works by reducing inflammation in the lungs. The most common form of Nucala is a 100mg/ml autoinjector. It is also available as a 100mg/ml syringe, 40mg/0.4ml syringe, and 100mg vial. There are currently no generic alternatives for Nucala. It may be covered by some Medicare and insurance plans.
