Xarelto (rivaroxaban) is an anticoagulant blood thinner used to treat and prevent blood clots that are related to certain conditions involving the heart and blood vessels. Xarelto is a direct acting oral anticoagulant which works by thinning the blood to prevent blood clots from forming. The most common form of Xarelto is a 20mg tablet. It is also avalible as a titration pack and a bottle of oral solution. There are currently no generic alternatives for Xarelto.
