About Dexilant

Dexilant (dexlansoprazole) is used to treat GERD and heartburn. Dexilant is a proton pump inhibitor, which works by healing the esophagus and decreasing the amount of acid produced by the stomach. The most common form of Dexilant is a 60mg capsule. It is also available as 30mg capsules and 30mg orally disintigrating tablets. It is available in both generic and brand versions. It is covered by some Medicare and insurance plans, but some pharmacy coupons or cash prices may be lower.

With the Patient Assistance Program from Takeda, you can receive your medication at no cost.
