We’re Here to Help: GoodRx Announces Company IPO

Today is a big day for GoodRx: We begin life as a public company on the NASDAQ stock exchange. 

We started GoodRx in 2011 because we realized too many people in the United States don’t receive the healthcare they need — they can’t easily get to a doctor or can’t afford treatment. These are the hard realities of our broken healthcare system. 

And it’s not just the uninsured who suffer; millions of people with insurance and Medicare are getting hit with larger bills as insurance pays less and we pay more.

We have to do better. We can do better.

That’s why GoodRx has built a leading consumer-focused, digital healthcare platform in the U.S.

We aim to provide every American with access to affordable and convenient healthcare.

Our journey began with a simple idea: Help people access prescriptions for affordable prices at nearby pharmacies. We wanted to make it as easy for consumers to shop around for healthcare as it is to shop around for travel or electronics. 

Ten years later, GoodRx has saved consumers with or without insurance $20 billion on their prescriptions. 

We are the number one most downloaded medical app in the Apple and Google Play app stores, and we’re trusted by patients, medical professionals, and researchers. We’ve added telehealth services, lab tests, and more. We proudly work with doctors, pharmacists, and other healthcare heroes to help them care for their patients and provide affordable and accessible treatments.

And when all else fails, our philanthropic arm, GoodRx Helps, provides medications to people across America who have nowhere else to turn. We’re proud to announce that we’re setting aside more than 1 million shares from our IPO to dramatically expand this program.

As much as we’ve accomplished in the past decade, we recognize that there is a tremendous amount of work — and opportunity — ahead of us.
