In the midst of a global pandemic that has caused major economic disruptions and struggles, discounts are more important than ever. If you’re still working on stocking up on your medications during this crisis, you can rest easy knowing that GoodRx continues working to bring you the lowest prices possible.

We’ve seen prescription fills drop rapidly as more people stay home and prioritize their necessary medications only. Still, this April GoodRx has new lower discount prices on several common medications at the major chain retail pharmacies: Walmart, Walgreens, CVS, Kroger, and Costco. The biggest price drops are:

The deeper April discounts will help patients with a range of different health concerns. The biggest new discount, at an additional 60% off, is for a common medication used to treat anemia or low levels of red blood cells. Ferrous sulfate is already inexpensive, but 60% will provide extra relief for your wallet during these difficult times.

We’ve seen prescription fills decrease for “non-essential” medications like Viagra — but the prices are decreasing too. So if you take this medication, a 35% deeper discount might be a good reason to stock up.

These are just a few of the common medications with deeper GoodRx discounts in April. Read on to learn more about the additional savings this month.

The savings, by pharmacy

For those who shop by pharmacy, here are new lower discounts available now at Walmart, Walgreens, CVS, Kroger, and Costco when using a GoodRx coupon.

Amoxicillin is a generic antibiotic that treats bacterial infections like strep throat, ulcers, and sinusitis. Research suggests that bacterial infections are more common in the summer. An additional 16% price drop at Walmart on this antibiotic is good to keep in mind as the warmer months approach.

Fluoxetine is the generic version of Prozac. It’s used to treat mood problems like depression and panic attacks. Unfortunately, these are health issues many people are facing during the global coronavirus crisis. If you take Fluoxetine, keep in mind that you can save an extra 26% this month at Walgreens.

The biggest savings opportunity at CVS this month is on a medication used to treat open-angle glaucoma and high pressure in the eye. It saw a 20% price drop for April.

As previously mentioned, fills for erectile dysfunction are down as a result of coronavirus. In non-pandemic times, our research shows that prescriptions for erectile dysfunction medications increase in late winter and early spring. If you’re one of the people still filling this prescription, Kroger’s pricing of tadalafil, generic Cialis, is down this month.

These medications are just a small sample of the new, lower prices we’ve found on GoodRx for the month of April. Additional savings and deeper discounts are added daily for many medications at a range of pharmacies. If you don’t see your prescription listed above, download our app or go to goodrx.com to access the latest savings.
