Visitors and health care workers are at risk of exposure to this medicine by breathing mist from the air. Talk to the doctor for more information. If you are pregnant or breast-feeding talk with the doctor before visiting a patient who is on this medicine.
Do not become pregnant while taking this medicine. Women should inform their doctor if they wish to become pregnant or think they might be pregnant. There is a potential for serious side effects to an unborn child. Talk to your health care professional or pharmacist for more information.
Common and Rare Side Effects
Along with its needed effects, a medicine may cause some unwanted effects. Although not all of these side effects may occur, if they do occur they may need medical attention.
Check with your doctor or nurse immediately if any of the following side effects occur:

Back, leg, or stomach pains
bluish color of fingernails, lips, skin, palms, or nail beds
chest pain or discomfort
coughing that sometimes produces a pink frothy sputum
difficult, fast, noisy breathing, sometimes with wheezing
dizziness, faintness, or lightheadedness when getting up from a lying or sitting position suddenly
extremely shallow or slow breathing
fast, slow, pounding, or irregular heartbeat or pulse
fever or chills
general body swelling
lightheadedness, dizziness, or fainting
loss of appetite
low blood pressure or pulse
nausea or vomiting
severe pain in chest
shortness of breath
stopping of heart
sudden onset of severe breathing problems
swelling in the legs and ankles
tightness in the chest
trouble with breathing when moving or walking
unusual bleeding or bruising
unusual tiredness or weakness
yellow eyes or skin
Some side effects may occur that usually do not need medical attention. These side effects may go away during treatment as your body adjusts to the medicine. Also, your health care professional may be able to tell you about ways to prevent or reduce some of these side effects.
