MENINGOCOCCAL ABCWY VACCINE reduces the risk of meningitis. It does not treat meningitis. It is still possible to get meningitis after receiving this vaccine, but the symptoms may be less severe or not last as long. It works by helping your immune system learn how to fight off a future infection. Compare vaccinations.

What should I tell my doctor?
They need to know if you have any of these conditions:
- Bleeding disorder
- Fever or infection
- History of fainting
- History of Guillain-Barre syndrome
- Immune system problems
- An unusual or allergic reaction to meningococcal vaccine, other vaccines, medications, foods, dyes, or preservatives
- Pregnant or trying to get pregnant
- Breastfeeding
How should I use this drug?
This medication is injected into a muscle. It is given by your care team.
This vaccine requires 2 doses to get the full benefit. Set a reminder for when your next dose is due. It is important you get the same type or brand of vaccine for both doses. Keep a record of which vaccine you received.
