Experience

Cydnee Ng, PharmD, is a drug information pharmacist at GoodRx, where she lends her expertise to providing reader-friendly, accessible content about medications. She holds her pharmacist license in California.

Prior to joining GoodRx, she served as a community pharmacist at Walgreens. At the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, she led early vaccination efforts to immunize high-risk staff and residents at long-term care facilities and, later, the general public.

Ng was also a medical writer for Birth Control Pharmacist, advocating for reproductive health. She has published original research in academic journals, including the Journal of the American Pharmacists Association and California Pharmacist (formerly known as the Journal of Contemporary Pharmacy Practice).

She’s a member of many professional organizations, including the American Pharmacists Association (APhA) and the Academy of Managed Care Pharmacy (AMCP). She’s also a member of the Phi Beta Kappa Society.

Education

Ng received her Doctor of Pharmacy from the University of California, San Diego Skaggs School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences. Throughout her pharmacy education, she has gained experience in several specialty areas, including critical care and oncology.

She also holds a Bachelor of Science in biochemistry and chemistry, as well as a minor in psychology, from UC San Diego. Ng was recognized as one of the top four outstanding graduating students in the Department of Biochemistry and Chemistry. She also interned in the chemistry research and department at Amgen, one of the world’s leading biotechnology companies.
