Introducing Provider Mode: Designed With Healthcare Providers for Healthcare Providers
Over the past decade, GoodRx has been embraced by healthcare providers (HCPs) who have witnessed firsthand the consequences of expensive medications. They know that when a medication costs too much, many of their patients will choose not to fill their prescriptions.
The phenomenal amount of trust GoodRx has generated within the healthcare community is apparent in our Net Promoter Score (NPS) of 90 among HCPs, as well as in the 850,000 prescribers who have used GoodRx since June 2021 to look up medication prices, prescription discounts, and trusted health information for their patients.
We’re proud of the relationship we’ve already built with HCPs, but we know there’s an enormous opportunity to create innovative products that even better serve their unique needs.
That’s why we created Provider Mode, a new experience that was built specifically for HCPs to help them find affordable solutions for the medications they prescribe. With providers in mind, we redesigned our prescription savings flow to create a faster, more customized experience that helps doctors and other prescribers find the information they need in the moment, so they can spend more time focusing on patient care.
While creating Provider Mode, we did extensive research and testing to make sure HCPs’ needs are addressed: They’re short on time, passionate about delivering the best care, and use GoodRx during their patient visits to bridge that gap.
With the help of our own medical staff and external HCP focus groups, we designed the following features, which are aimed at creating a faster, more streamlined experience for providers:
A cost comparison tool: Helps providers make cost-effective prescribing decisions by allowing them to compare prices across drug classes, as well as pharmacies and zip codes.
Personalized and relevant industry news and content: Personalized and relevant industry news and content from GoodRx Health gives providers trustworthy information about common health questions, financial guidance, and basic medication questions, written by doctors, pharmacists, and healthcare experts.
Easy coupon sharing: Allows providers to send GoodRx coupons directly to their patients, without sharing their personal email address or phone number.
A streamlined experience: HCPs are able to quickly access the Provider Dashboard, where they can find frequently prescribed medications, specialty-specific resources, and replicate their most popular searches.
Information and guidance about brand drug savings programs: We make it even easier for providers to help their patients learn about, start, and stay on their prescribed therapies.
