Paromomycin

PAROMOMYCIN treats infections caused by parasites. It works by killing the parasite. It also treats the symptoms of hepatic encephalopathy, a condition where the liver does not clear toxins from the body. It works by killing or preventing the growth of bacteria in your intestine that make toxins. It belongs to a group of medications called antibiotics. It will not treat colds, the flu, or infections caused by viruses.
