Methodology

Our survey was run through YouGov from May 7, 2026, through July 14, 2026. Our sample population was adults who reported having a prescription medication during the previous month. Data shown are based on 1,887 respondents who had health insurance with prescription drug coverage and who, within the previous month, either filled a prescription or had a prescription sent to a pharmacy that they did not ultimately fill. Survey responses were weighted to be representative of the U.S. adult population. Survey responses were weighted to the U.S. population using age, gender, race, political affiliation, and education level. The YouGov survey research arm provides additional details on methodology and weighting.
