From the Frontlines: New Internal Survey Shows GoodRx Helps Providers Improve Access to Care for Their Patients

At GoodRx, we want to help Americans get the healthcare they need at a price they can afford. We know most patient journeys start with a visit to a healthcare provider’s office or clinic, and we recognize the essential role doctors, pharmacists, and medical professionals play in determining the best treatment. That’s why working with healthcare providers is a large part of what we do. Our products and services help providers find affordable solutions for their patients, reducing the time they spend searching on their patients’ behalf.

GoodRx and pills

To better understand the strength of our relationships with healthcare providers, we recently conducted an internal survey of over 700 doctors, nurses, and physician assistants. Findings indicate providers believe that using GoodRx improves patient access to medication, increases patient adherence (how well patients stick to their medication regimen), and reduces the administrative burden they face.

Over half of the respondents agreed that the number one challenge when prescribing medication and/or ensuring patients start and stay on their therapies is finding drugs that patients can afford.

Providers believe GoodRx can help with this issue. In fact, 93% of survey respondents said GoodRx’s savings solutions improve patient access to medication, and 88% of respondents said GoodRx helps patient adherence.

Providers also said GoodRx reduces their administrative burden, with 89% of those surveyed noting that GoodRx saves them time on administrative tasks. For example, GoodRx’s products can help providers find affordable solutions for their patients, which can reduce the time they spend obtaining prior authorizations, searching on their patients’ behalf, or managing callbacks with the pharmacy or payer. This ultimately gives them more time to focus on providing the best care.

We are proud of the relationships we’ve built with healthcare providers and believe that together we can help more patients get better access to the care they need.
