CROMOLYN helps manage the symptoms of mastocytosis, a condition that causes the body to produce too many mast cells. It works by reducing the release of substances in your body that cause symptoms such as diarrhea, stomach pain, nausea, vomiting, flushing, itching, and headache. It belongs to a group of medications called mast cell stabilizers.
