AMLODIPINE; ATORVASTATIN treats high blood pressure and prevents chest pain (angina). It works by relaxing blood vessels, which decreases the amount of work the heart has to do. It may also be used to treat high cholesterol and reduce the risk of heart attack and stroke. It works by decreasing bad cholesterol and fats (such as LDL, triglycerides) and increasing good cholesterol (HDL) in your blood. It is a combination of a calcium channel blocker and statin. Changes to diet and exercise are often combined with this medication.
