Experience
Kerry Hackworth has been in the field of nutrition for over a decade. Her career began in corporate wellness, where she provided personalized health coaching. She then transitioned to a role as a corporate retail dietitian, developing recipes for a Midwest-based grocery chain. Kerry further expanded her expertise by working on behalf of U.S. dairy farmers, to communicate the health benefits and dispel myths about dairy and agriculture. Currently, she operates Dietitian Kerry, PLLC, a private practice offering individualized nutrition coaching, consulting, and writing services. Based in the Chicagoland area, Kerry is also a proud mom and wife.
Education
Kerry Hackworth received an honors degree and bachelor of science in dietetics, nutrition, fitness, and health from Purdue University. During a summer study-abroad program through the University of Minnesota, Kerry studied the sustainable food systems of Italy. The Italian food culture in Tuscany shaped her food philosophy — focusing on whole, real foods that taste great — and an overall enjoyment and appreciation for food and nutrition. Kerry completed her master of science degree in clinical nutrition and 1,200 hours of supervised practice for her dietetic internship at Rush University in Chicago. Kerry is a registered dietitian nutritionist (RDN) credentialed by the Commission on Dietetic Registration and licensed in the state of Illinois.
