Ycanth Side Effects

The following side effects may get better over time as your body gets used to the medication. Let your healthcare provider know immediately if you continue to experience these symptoms or if they worsen over time.

Common Side Effects

Application site reactions:

  • Blistering (up to 60%)
  • Itching (up to 47%)
  • Pain (up to 41%)
  • Scabbing (up to 39%)
  • Discoloration (up to 28%)
  • Redness (up to 24%)

Less Common Side Effects

  • Dryness
  • Swelling

Ycanth serious side effects

Contact your healthcare provider immediately if you experience any of the following.

  • Toxicity (if swallowed or placed in mouth): kidney damage (lack of urination, dark colored urine, trouble catching your breath, swelling of hands/feet/ankles), seizures, paralysis
  • Toxicity (from accidental contact with eyes): red or teary eyes, blurred vision, eye pain, vision loss
