The following side effects may get better over time as your body gets used to the medication. Let your healthcare provider know immediately if you continue to experience these symptoms or if they worsen over time.
Common Side Effects
- Nosebleeds (5-12%)
- Nose ulcer (3-8%)
- Nose and throat inflammation (2-8%)
- Stuffy nose (4-6%)
- Redness inside the nose (4-6%)
- Sinus inflammation (4-5%)
- Headache (2-5%)
- Sore throat (1-3%)
Less Common Side Effects
- Dry nose
- Mouth and throat pain
- Toothache
- Pressure in the ears
- Dizziness
- Stomach discomfort
- Weight gain
Xhance serious side effects
Contact your healthcare provider immediately if you experience any of the following.
- Severe allergic reaction: rash, trouble breathing, swelling of lips, tongue, or face

Side effects that you should report to your care team as soon as possible:
- Allergic reactions—skin rash, itching, hives, swelling of the face, lips, tongue, or throat
- Crusting or sores inside the nose
- Frequent or severe nosebleeds
- Low adrenal gland function—nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, unusual weakness or fatigue, dizziness
- Thrush—white patches in the nose or mouth
- Whistling through one or both nostrils that does not away
Side effects that usually do not require medical attention (report these to your care team if they continue or are bothersome):
- Change in sense of smell
- Change in taste
- Cough
- Headache
- Irritation inside the nose or throat
