About Wainua

Wainua (eplontersen) is used to treat Hereditary Transthyretin-Mediated Amyloidosis. Wainua is an Antisense Therapeutic, which works by making a nucleic acid that can "turn off" the particular gene that is causing the disease. Wainua is available as a 1.75mg/0.3ml autoinjector. There are currently no generic alternatives for Wainua. It is covered by some Medicare and insurance plans.
