What is Neutropenia?

Neutropenia is a low level of a form of white blood cells. It increases the chance of infection. Symptoms include fever, diarrhea, and sore throat.

Treatment for neutropenia includes treating infections, suppressing the immune system, and increasing white blood cell count. A common drug class used to treat neutropenia is the leukocyte growth factors drug class.'
