Typical dosage for Ethambutol
The dose will depend on your body weight.
- First-time treatment of TB: The typical dose is 15 mg/kg (equal to about 7 mg/lb) by mouth once every 24 hours.
- Repeat treatment of TB: The typical dose is 25 mg/kg (equal to about 11 mg/lb) by mouth once every 24 hours for 60 days. After 60 days, your dose will be lowered to 15 mg/kg (equal to about 7 mg/lb) once every 24 hours.
