About diphenhydramine/Phenylephrine
Diphenhydramine/Phenylephrine is part of the Antihistamine / Alpha-1 Agonist Combinations class and treats Nasal Congestion. Antihistamine / alpha-1 agonist combinations are used to treat allergic rhinitis, nasal congestion, and cold symptoms. They work by shrinking blood vessels in the nose for congestion and by blocking histamine which causes the symptoms of stuffy nose, runny nose, itchy throat, and sneezing. Diphenhydramine/Phenylephrine is only available as a generic drug.
