Firmagon

Firmagon (degarelix) is used to treat prostate cancer. Firmagon is a gonadotropin releasing hormone antagonist, which works by blocking the pituary gland from making certain hormones. The most common form of Firmagon is a 80mg kit. It is also available as a 240mg kit. There are currently no generic alternatives for Firmagon. It is covered by some Medicare and insurance plans.
