Medications for neuroblastoma are used to treat this type of cancer. Some of these medications also have other uses, such as treating certain types of leukemia and lymphoma. They work by killing cancer cells or boosting the immune system to fight cancer. Common classes include alkylating agents, monoclonal antibodies, and anthracyclines. Alkylating agents like cyclophosphamide are taken as oral pills or given as injections. Monoclonal antibodies, such as Danyelza (naxitamab) and Unituxin (dinutuximab), are typically given as injections. Anthracyclines like doxorubicin are also administered through injections. These treatments offer different ways to help manage and fight neuroblastoma effectively.
