Atropen Side Effects

The following side effects may get better over time as your body gets used to the medication. Let your healthcare provider know immediately if you continue to experience these symptoms or if they worsen over time.

Common Side Effects

  • Pain at the site of injection
  • Dry mouth
  • Dry eyes
  • Blurry vision
  • Sensitivity to light
  • Confusion
  • Headache
  • Dizziness
  • Fast heart rate or other abnormal heartbeat
  • Flushing (blushing)
  • Stomach pain or discomfort
  • Nausea or vomiting
  • Constipation
  • Difficulty urinating
  • Low sex drive
  • Erection problems

Less Common Side Effects

  • Unable to sweat normally
  • Difficulty swallowing
  • Glaucoma
  • Rash

Atropen serious side effects

Contact your healthcare provider immediately if you experience any of the following.

  • Overheating (hyperthermia)
  • Severe allergic reaction: trouble breathing; hives; swelling of the lips, tongue, or face
