How many years is Shingrix effective for?
A 2022 study found that two doses of Shingrix continue to protect adults ages 50 years and older from shingles for at least 10 years. At the end of the 10-year period, the vaccine was estimated to be approximately 73% effective. It’s possible that protection from two Shingrix doses lasts longer than 10 years.
