- Adults: The typical starting dose is 300 mg/15 mg (acetaminophen/codeine) by mouth every 4 hours as needed for pain.

- Adults: The typical dose is 15 mL by mouth every 4 hours as needed for pain.
- Each 5 mL contains 120 mg of acetaminophen and 12 mg of codeine.
Don't take more than 4,000 mg of acetaminophen within a 24-hour period.
Note: This medication shouldn't be given to children younger than 12 years of age, or to children younger than 18 years of age after tonsil or adenoid surgery.
