Val Jones, MD, is a physician who is certified by the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (ABPMR). 

Dr. Jones is currently the medical director of admissions for St. Elias Specialty Hospital in Anchorage, Alaska. She was most recently a medical director at a Shirley Ryan AbilityLab Alliance partner and health system clinician at Northwestern Feinberg School of Medicine. 

She is a member of the Specialty Brand Expansion Committee for the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.She has also worked as an editor and regular contributor to various professional and consumer health publications. She was the founder of GetBetterHealth.com, a medical blogging network. 

She is an avid hiker, chef, and nutrition expert. Her goal as a physician is to help people live active, fulfilling lives.

Education

Dr. Jones received her medical degree at Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons and completed her residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation in 2006.
