Experience

Joanna Foley, RD, is a registered dietitian (RD) and the owner of joannafoleynutrition.com, a private nutrition consulting business. She has previously worked as a clinical dietitian and outpatient renal dietitian. She also holds a certificate of training in both adult weight management and integrative and functional nutrition from the Commission on Dietetic Registration.

Besides being a private practice owner, Joanna is a freelance writer and author of two cookbooks as well. She is passionate about educating others not only on how food affects their health, but also what they can do about it, how to make it work for their lifestyles, and how to tell the difference between truth versus myth in health claims.

Education

Joanna received her Bachelor of Science in nutrition and dietetics from California State University, Long Beach. She also completed a professional dietetic internship through Utah State University, which allowed her to take the RD exam and become an RD.
