Frank Schwalbe, MD, is an assistant professor of anesthesiology at the Yale School of Medicine. He has practiced anesthesiology for 30 years. He received his bachelor’s degree from Davidson College. He went to the University of Florida for medical school and completed his residency there as well. He has published two medical thrillers, Toro and Minos, and recently finished a manuscript for an historical fiction novel about World War I.
In his practice, he prioritizes building a dialogue with patients and their families that satisfies the patient’s informational needs and helps them make personalized, informed decisions. When not in the operating room or writing, Dr. Schwalbe enjoys hiking and exploring the New England countryside.
