Adults:
- Headache (18%)
- Trouble sleeping (6%)
- Nausea (6%)
- Anxiety (5%)
Children:
- Headache (19%)
- Trouble sleeping (7%)
Less Common Side Effects
- Upper respiratory infection
- Muscle, bone, or joint pain
- Fast heart rate
- Seeing or hearing things that aren't there
- Irritability (cranky mood)
- Stomach pain
- Poor appetite
Wakix serious side effects
Contact your healthcare provider immediately if you experience any of the following.
- Abnormal heart rhythm (QT prolongation): chest pounding, irregular heartbeat, chest pain, short of breath, feeling faint or lightheaded

- Allergic reactions—skin rash, itching, hives, swelling of the face, lips, tongue, or throat
- Heart rhythm changes—fast or irregular heartbeat, dizziness, feeling faint or lightheaded, chest pain, trouble breathing
