AMINOLEVULINIC ACID is used with light therapy to treat rough, scaly spots on the skin caused by sun exposure. It works by killing the irregular cells in the lesion.

Epioxa/Epioxa HD is part of the Photoenhancers class and treats Keratoconus. Photoenhancers are used to treat visual distortions including astigmatism and myopia as well as certain skin conditions. They are used with UV light to strengthen the cornea to prevent further progression and distortion. Epioxa/Epioxa HD is only available as a brand name drug.
