What should I tell my doctor?
They need to know if you have any of these conditions:
- A hole or tear in the bladder
- An unusual or allergic reaction to gemcitabine, other medications, foods, dyes, or preservatives
- If you or your partner are pregnant or trying to get pregnant
- Breastfeeding
How should I use this drug?
This medication system is placed in the bladder by your care team in a hospital or clinic setting. They will insert and remove it.
Do not empty your bladder right before your procedure to place this medication. After the system is placed, you do not need to hold your urine.
Talk to your care team about the use of this medication in children. Special care may be needed.
What if I miss a dose?
Keep appointments for follow-up doses. It is important not to miss your dose. Call your care team if you are not able to keep your appointment.
Where should I store this drug?
This medication is placed by your care team in a hospital or clinic setting. It will not be stored at home.
