Elmiron (Pentosan) is an expensive drug used to treat bladder pain or discomfort caused by interstitial cystitis. This drug is more popular that comparable drugs. There is currently no generic alternative to Elmiron. The most common version of Elmiron is covered by 97% of insurance plans at a co-pay of $40.00-$67.50, however, some pharmacy coupons or cash prices may be lower.
