What Is Ovarian Cancer?

Ovarian cancer is cancer of the ovaries. Symptoms for ovarian cancer include bloating, problems with eating, pelvic heaviness, and increased need to urinate.

Treatment for ovarian cancer includes surgical removal of the ovaries, chemotherapy, and radiation therapy. Common drug classes used to treat ovarian cancer are alkylating drugs, antimetabolites, microtubule inhibitors, nucleoside metabolic inhibitors, platinum-based drugs, and topoisomerase inhibitors.
