In the past, many people thought that people with multiple sclerosis (MS) should avoid exercise. Today, doctors consider exercise generally safe for people with MS — to the degree that they often incorporate exercise into the treatment plan.
Exercise is not a replacement for medications to treat MS. Regular physical activity supports your MS management and helps improve your overall health.
