Cequa (cyclosporine) is a drug that is a part of the CNI Immunosuppressants class and treats dry eye. CNI immunosuppressants are used to treat organ transplant rejection, rheumatoid arthritis, psoriasis, dry eye, and eczema. They work by suppressing the immune system to prevent the body from attacking the organs, prevent swelling, and increase tear production. This drug is less popular than comparable drugs. There are currently no generic alternatives to Cequa.
