About Cardura

DOXAZOSIN treats high blood pressure. It may also be used to treat symptoms of an enlarged prostate (benign prostatic hyperplasia). It works by relaxing blood vessels, which decreases the amount of work the heart has to do. It also relaxes the muscles in the prostate and bladder, which makes it easier to urinate. It belongs to a group of medications called alpha blockers.
