Ala-Quin Side Effects

The following side effects may get better over time as your body gets used to the medication. Let your healthcare provider know immediately if you continue to experience these symptoms or if they worsen over time.

Common Side Effects

  • Burning
  • Itching
  • Irritation
  • Dry skin

Less Common Side Effects

  • Inflammed hair follicles
  • Blisters
  • Skin peeling
  • Skin redness
  • Swelling
  • Excess hair growth
  • Acne or pustules
  • Lighter skin color
  • Skin inflammation around the mouth
  • Eczema (allergic irritation)
  • Over-moisturized skin appearance
  • Skin thinning
  • Stretch marks
  • Heat rash
  • Infection

Ala-Quin serious side effects

Contact your healthcare provider immediately if you experience any of the following.

  • Allergic reactions
  • Abnormal stress hormone levels
  • New infections: Skin reddening, swelling, pus, fever
