Aileen Chu, PharmD, has over 8 years of experience working as a clinical pharmacist in the emergency department. Chu is also a pharmacotherapeutics instructor at Point Loma Nazarene University.
In the emergency department, in addition to patient care, Aileen teaches and mentors students and residents from various colleges of pharmacy. She is a pharmacotherapeutics instructor for the physician associate Master of Science in Medicine program at Point Loma Nazarene University and has published on the use of anticoagulants for emergency department patients with deep vein thromboembolism (DVT).She is also a member of the American College of Clinical Pharmacology.
Aileen earned her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Southern California.
She completed an acute care residency at the University of Illinois Chicago, and is a board-certified pharmacotherapy specialist.
