Experience

Michelle Nguyen, PharmD, has been a clinical pharmacist for 6 years (and counting). She has a diverse skill set within managed care pharmacy, specifically in the settings of a medical group, pharmacy benefit manager (PBM), and health plan. 

Her strengths are data analytics, drug information, drug utilization/formulary management, clinical operations, and digital health. 

In her current role, she optimizes population health with cost-effective drug management and data analytics strategies. 

Michelle is a member of the Academy of Managed Care Pharmacy (AMCP) and an alumna from the Gates Millennium Scholars Program.

Education

Michelle completed her bachelor's degree in psychobiology from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). She then continued on to professional school and received her doctorate in pharmacy from the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF). She also completed a managed care pharmacy residency with CVS Caremark. She is licensed in California and Texas.
