Stephanie R. McGuire, MD, FASA

Stephanie R. McGuire, MD, is a freelance medical writer and pediatric anesthesiologist. She has more than a decade of experience in clinical pediatric anesthesiology, pediatric pain management, and medical education. She graduated from medical school at the University of Michigan. She went on to complete her anesthesiology residency at Duke University and pediatric anesthesiology fellowship at the University of Washington.

Dr. McGuire founded the pediatric anesthesiology fellowship at the University of Kansas/Children's Mercy Hospital, the first of its kind in the region. She served as the first program director for 5 years.
