As a cardiologist for over 27 years, I have worked to heal, educate, and empower thousands of individuals to achieve optimal health and well-being. Inspired by the questions and curiosity of my patients and students, I authored three critically acclaimed books on heart health between 2009 and 2020. Experience

Sarah Samaan, MD, FACC, FACP, FASE is a board-certified cardiologist who practiced clinical cardiology for nearly 30 years. She is a member of the American College of Cardiology, the American College of Physicians, and the American Society of Echocardiography. Dr. Samaan has also served as a spokesperson for the American Heart Association.

Although she is skilled in the management of complicated heart conditions, Dr. Samaan’s true passion is educating and empowering people to take control of their own health. She is the author of “Best Practices for a Healthy Heart: How to Stop Heart Disease Before or After it Starts,” and a coauthor of “DASH Diet for Dummies.” 

Dr. Samaan is a certified yoga instructor with Yoga Alliance and is the owner of Winding Road Yoga. She is also a competitive athlete in the equestrian sport of dressage and has been awarded the U.S. Dressage Federation's bronze medal.

Education

Dr. Samaan is a graduate of the Vanderbilt University School of Medicine. She completed an internal medicine residency at the University of California, Irvine and a cardiology fellowship at the University of New Mexico.
