Sarah Pozniak, MD, has 9 years of experience since graduating medical school (6 since completing residency). She is a board-certified general internal medicine physician and has practiced as a primary care physician in both Utah and Washington, D.C. Currently, she cares for patients with chronic illnesses such as diabetes and high blood pressure using telemedicine as part of a virtual care program.

She is passionate about combining her clinical experience with writing to bring quality health and medical information to other clinicians and patients. 

Dr. Pozniak received The S. Bryant Kendrick, D. Min. Memorial Award to recognize a house officer for excellence in primary care internal medicine from the Wake Forest School of Medicine in May 2016.

Education

Dr. Pozniak completed her undergraduate degree (BA) at Boston University. She majored in American studies and minored in journalism and biology, and she graduated magna cum laude with distinction. She attended medical school at New York Medical College in Valhalla, New York. She completed her internship and residency in internal medicine, primary care track at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.
