Experience

Mandeep Sohal, PharmD, has more than 7 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry and is licensed in California. In his career, he’s had experience with specialty pharmacy, community pharmacy, pharmacy benefit management, and pharmaceutical manufacturers.

While completing his residency, he worked on clinical programs at CVS Specialty to ensure the best health outcomes for patients. Since graduation, he has been involved in mentoring pharmacy residents and students across the nation.

Mandeep has a passion for helping patients. He has served millions of Aetna Medicaid patients across many states with their pharmacy benefit. He also aims to help people through his writing at Pharmacist Consult and GoodRx Health. In his spare time, he has volunteered with Healing Hearts Across Borders and community health fairs to provide care to underserved populations.

Furthermore, he has presented posters at the Academy of Managed Care Pharmacy Annual Meeting and the American Society of Clinical Oncology Annual Meeting. Mandeep published peer-reviewed research in the Journal of Proteome Research and wrote two senior theses on diabetes while at the University of California, Davis.

Education

Mandeep Sohal graduated from the University of Southern California, School of Pharmacy and holds a bachelor’s degree in Neurobiology, Physiology and Behavior from the University of California, Davis. 

During his pharmacy education, he completed several rotations in health plans, consultancies, and FDA. He continued his career with a residency program focused on managed care in Rhode Island. He was also awarded a teaching certificate from the University of Rhode Island, College of Pharmacy.
