Xiidra (
lifitegrast) is used to treat
dry eye disease. Xiidra is an LFA-1 antagonist, which works by blocking the interaction of certain proteins with white blood cells, which prevents the immunological response that can cause
dry eyes and irritation. Xiidra is available as a carton of sixty 5% ampules. There are currently no generic alternatives for Xiidra. It is covered by some Medicare and insurance plans, but some pharmacy coupons or cash prices may be lower.
