What should I tell my doctor?

They need to know if you have any of these conditions:

Asthma
Bleeding problems
Dehydration
Frequently drink alcohol
Have had a heart attack, stroke, or mini-stroke
Heart bypass surgery, or CABG, within the past 2 weeks
Heart or blood vessel conditions
Heart failure
High blood pressure
Kidney disease
Liver disease
Stomach bleeding
Stomach ulcers, other stomach or intestine problems
Tobacco use
An unusual or allergic reaction to meloxicam, other medications, foods, dyes, or preservatives
Pregnant or trying to get pregnant
Breastfeeding

How should I use this drug?

This medication is for injection into a vein. It is usually given in a hospital or clinic setting.

If you get this medication at home, you will be taught how to prepare and give this medication. Use exactly as directed. Take your medication at regular intervals. Do not take your medication more often than directed.

What if I miss a dose?

It is important not to miss your dose. Call your care team if you are unable to keep an appointment. If you give yourself this medication at home and you miss a dose, take it as soon as you can. If it is almost time for your next dose, take only that dose. Do not take double or extra doses.
