Teczem (diltiazem / enalapril) is made up of two medications that both lower your blood pressure in different ways. Diltiazem lowers your blood pressure by slowing your heart rate and relaxing your blood vessels. Enalapril does so by blocking the production of a protein that normally tightens blood vessels. Without this protein, your blood vessels relax and open up which lowers your blood pressure.
