The following side effects may get better over time as your body gets used to the medication. Let your healthcare provider know immediately if you continue to experience these symptoms or if they worsen over time.
Common Side Effects
- Eye discomfort (10-13%)
- Wet AMD (7-12%)
- Seeing "floaters" (7-10%)
- Bright red patch in the white of the eye (eye bleed; 8%)
- Vitreous detachment (4-6%)
Less Common Side Effects
- Punctate keratitis (clumps of cells on eye surface leading to red, watery, light-sensitive eyes)
- Posterior capsule opacification (leading to blurry vision)
- Eye pain and swelling
- Higher pressure in the eye

The following Syfovre side effects have also been reported
Side effects that you should report to your care team as soon as possible:
- Allergic reactions—skin rash, itching, hives, swelling of the face, lips, tongue, or throat
- Blurry vision, vision loss, seeing wavy or bent objects or blind spots with dark, light, or flashing spots
- Eye pain, redness, irritation, or discharge with blurry or decreased vision
- Sensitivity to light
Side effects that usually do not require medical attention (report these to your care team if they continue or are bothersome):
- Eye irritation or itching
- Small spots floating in vision
